no sense talk

No this is not another post from Europe.

I just discovered that my office colleague is bitching about me, and trying to potray as a lazy gay!

If i were back home, i would have punched him right at his nose…but since i can’t do anything here. Grhhh :angry, really angry:

But why is he so curious about my orientation? He said: He (that is I)  talks to boys over phone pretending talking to girls.  I am scared (and laugh continues) (and my supervisor laughs)

Hello, no matter how many makeover you go through, your looks will always disgust me, stupid dog!

Should there be capital punishment? Most of my friends, my family members all believe there should be capital punishment for those who do heinous crime intentionally. But i believe, there shouldn’t be any form of capital punishment.

hangingNepal abolished capital punishment in 1990 after popular movement forced then King to announce multi-party democracy and new constitution. But as serious of murders, kidnapping and terror increases, in latest case: a student was kidnapped and killed, Kathmanduties are debating over need of capital punishment to curb such crimes.

People might argue 100 logics for need of capital punishment, but i believe no one has right to take other’s life under any pretext. If there’s capital punishment, then what’s difference between a criminal and state: after all both have blood in their hands though motives are different. Instead other strict punishment measures should be there.

hanging spiderOnce capital punishment is executed, there’s no chance to return back to status-quo. What if someone’s innocence is proved later (as no justice system if perfect), can anyone who advocates for such punishment return back a dead person alive?

And also: those for pro-capital punishment says: it would help to curb crime. Has it helped in decrease of crime in India or US or China or Middle East? I don’t think so, still crime rates are higher there. So instead of following an eye for an eye, we should seek for other alternatives where people are punished and rewarded for their deeds.

And remember: AN EYE FOR AN EYE LEAVES EVERYONE BLIND.

I know this is stale post, but still writing….

Saturday morning, right after waking up, i flipped channel and Anderson Copper 360 was on air. They had BREAKING NEWS. MJ’s dead. Well, i didn’t feel anything. So just randomly I tweeted and text’ed some of my friends saying: Hey, MJ’s dead.

In mean time, i got my mom’s official reaction:  so he’s dead? Did he really molested that child? (I replied: Don’t know) Oh you don’t know!! I think he’s in huge debt right? (I said: guess so.) Oh, what would happen to his children? (Before listening to my answer) Do you think there’s foul play in his death? After all he’s so famous and rich, who knows. I should follow his news. (When he was alive, my mom gave damn, and now….Jesus.)

Instantly my friends replied back: (emotional surprises included) what?? what??? wtf???? what???

And I was: what, what what? Someone’s dead, am sorry for tht…but what, what what….

Later in the evening, again MJ story resurfaced. Everyone were totally shocked and were feeling very bad, very very bad in fact. And i just treated it like another news which filled vacuum of stories for journalist (I know, i could be very mean and shallow). They asked my opinion on loss of MJ and it’s impact: I replied, hmmm may be others will take over, it’s just a matter of time. I felt i just dropped a bomb.

No i didn’t grew up listening to his songs, I didn’t become his numero uno fan. I remember him seeing on tv for his bad coverage rather than his music. So i don’t feel any connection with him or his music. Just because he died, doesn’t mean I have to cry hard and let world know how bad i am feeling. Do i have to react same way, the world did?

As i predicted, 2 days later… everything seems to be as it is. My friends who were hurt by news seems to be enjoying: going Karting, partying. And the world seems to have moved on too.Instead of focusing on his contribution or his good parts: world seems to be focusing on tweeter impact on his death.

I got another confirmation: In this materialistic world, nothing lasts forever! (I know am cynical). Still, am saying:

R.I.P Michael

Announcement: All right folks, you guys remember me whining about some course? Hehe Good news is: I am awarded. Ahh…. that’s awesome. Full paid course :D

And it seems June has lots of things in store for me. Without trying or doing anything, a prestegious international organization has approached me for some translation job. So that means extra income :P I can buy more shoes. :D

All i am doing right now is: crossing my fingers. What for? For my job application in new place. Hope i can hear good news within this month. :fingers crossed:

Am happy, at least for the moment :D

All right, Nepali politicians haven’t learned their way… still they call for strike to pressure government and who suffers? Those ministers/Lawmakers or any power-holder? No way… But we the people.

Today I was forced to walk around 8 km because of Bandha. It took me almost an hour and now: am tired… too tired to do anything.

PLUS: Why blogosphere is so silent these days? No one’s writing regularly…. Is everyone having BlogBlues?

  • Am sick (yeah again). Got fever of 101 °F and my neck is paining like hell….but still had to go to office to finish some deadlines.
  • Got some field trips this weekend. Am going to be baked in terai’s temperature. (Kathmandu’s average temperature now is 32°C and I feel it’s too hot. Out there, average temperature is 40°C. What am i gonna do :( )
  • Nick is fine now. :) He says he was just trying to be protective. I can understand his emotions.
  • Nepal’s political crisis is far from over. I don’t know when this politico-war would cease. :(
  • And at last…. finally long dry-spell is broken. Pre-monsoon rainfall has reached and I am enjoying. (I guess this very same rainfall is responsible for my health)

BBC is under immense pressure from political and right groups for deciding not to air charity appeal for GAZA claiming it would undermine it’s impartiality. DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee), an umbrella of various aid groups including Action Aid, British Red Cross, Care International, Oxfam, Save the Children etc. had asked BBC to air it’s appeal for Gaza people.

Ha! what BBC is talking about? Impartiality? Have we forgotten Iraq war? BBC very fondly played US/UK propaganda and now it’s talking about impartiality? And don’t you think BBC has already taken side by deciding not to air the charity appeal.

People of Gaza needs supports to rebuild their lives, houses, society etc. destroyed by Israel. Now in such humanitarian crisis scenario, BBC talks about impartiality. What comes first? Humanity or impartiality? If impartiality always come first, then why do Geneva conventions binds all countries to protect injured enemy? And if airing charity would make BBC lose it’s impartiality, does it mean Red Cross and Save the Children have already lost it’s neutrality?

Apart from this in another disturbing news, Israeli PM Ehud Olmert said that Israel will protect from prosecution any of its soldiers accused of war crimes in Gaza. What does this mean? You can do all the atrocities and be safe from justice? Then why prosecuting many generals/armies/leaders from Yugoslavia or Cambodia or Liberia or Sudan or any other country who has committed atrocities? Then Nazis should also have been spared. After all, all they did was to protect their country, their power, their pride, their i-don’t-know-what-else.

Justice should prevail, and that too equally for all.

I am cleaning up my dear PC. It’s been as messy as my bedroom. So while cleaning up, I found so many things, things which were dear to me once; few published articles, few half written ones, old pictures etc. Reading those articles, seeing those pictures again, brought memories and with memories a smile in my face.

I am listening to those songs I used to love many years back, searching every possible pictures and smiling remembering those events. One particular in my hand right now is taken at Shivapuri while we went there for swimming. It was January and temperature must have been around 10 °C. You can imagine how cold water must have been. But we dived in and came out within a second being numb. May be that was adrenaline effect. :P

Another is taken at Kirtipur. It was June and raining heavily, but still we went out. When we returned home, we were drenched. blured Not only pictures, I also found blueprints of some of our early ventures. We didn’t know how to do budgeting, so result had been inflated and messy budget. And hurray: we didn’t get that project hehe I found designs of some village e-commerce project. We got the project, but could never finish it. Still I wonder what went wrong there.

I still remember the craze of titanic pose (I have few pics of myself too :P ), those boy band songs (Remember Westlife, NSYNC, BackStreet Boys??), Britney Spears, Harry Potter-mania….. And how could I forget Eminem :P . All of them are like dreams now.

Ohh, I wish I could be back in that time :)

It seems the year would end with the bad note. After waking up, I broke my Laptop’s charger point. I guess this is the worst start of the day. Now am going to service center but as i googled out, it could cost me upto  $100. I hope this ain’t that bad :(

Israel is bombing and destroying Gaza Strip to tame Hamas and bring peace to Middle East. Hundreds of innocent Palestinian civilians have been killed and thousands are injured. It’s air strike (while writing this) is still on and senior Israeli officials are saying they could go on ground attack as well.
But would this attack achieve it’s goal? I believe no. Rockets attack to Israel would increase so would Israel assault and result: more destruction, more terror and more deaths.

Almost all Israel’s ally including US have, as always, stood behind Israel blaming Hamas and merely making their lips curve to say STOP ISRAEL. But in fact have done nothing to force Israel to stop this siege. Don’t they have duty to prevent casualties of civilians?

There are many Israelis or other people who stand behind Israel’s call that this stringent action was necessary to bring peace to Israel and Middle East, which I believe, is hollow. No means of any violence would bring peace, it brings only misery, pain and hatred which Israel is not understanding or not willing to admit. How could Israel expect that Hamas and Palestine would forget this attack while it cannot forget any rocket attacks? You take revenge and ask injured party to forget everything, how practical is this? Such stupid remarks would only fuel the hatred and revenge in Hamas and Palestine.

Learn from Gandhi. What he taught the world. If you want to reconcile, you need to forgive others first.

Many might ask me then doesn’t Israel have any right to protect itself? Yes, Israel has every right to protect itself from terror but not at the cost of other civilians. They don’t have right to safeguard their population by killing an innocent Palestinian boy or woman.

May be world leaders have failed to say or are unwilling to say, but i say, Isreal is also equally responsible for this bloodshed.
